Real estate projects (a.k.a. house flipping) is one of my life’s passions. I was unable to see my latest flip to completion because God sent a determined lady who fell in love with the outside renovations. I’m talking the inside is nothing more than big dreams with exposed studs and floor joists.
This particular lady was taking pictures of my “real estate baby” when my husband spotted her. He introduced himself as the owner and from there the deal was in progress. I had a peace to continue with negotiations (a cash deal with some lake property remaining helped 😉 ).
I can see God’s hand in this project. Usually I am so determined to complete a house flip. I just love all aspects of architectural design. In this case, I just couldn’t get motivated. I drew up all the floor plans, the kitchen triangle was nailed, lake views were strategically exposed but something was holding me back.
I even prioritized other projects over this renovation (like building a barn). My husband would periodically ask me what my next move was and I had nothing inside me that wanted to move forward. Trust me, that is a terrible attitude to have if you flip houses.
When the purchase agreement was signed, our buyer mentioned to my husband that she knew that God wanted her to have this house. It is awe inspiring each and every time that God reveals Himself openly. God is good and He is in all that we do (even orchestrating each move of this house renovation). He is about the only One that can put a hold on my drive to complete a project.
I am so grateful that God wants to be involved in all that we do. He is the best business partner! I challenge you to think about where you have recently seen God’s guidance and protection in your life?
For the love of house flipping,
